    Assalam alaikum wa rahmatullah

    I was wondering if anyone knew of a quote (with reference) from a scholar (who lived between 1000H -1099H) who used the term Salaf (or Salafee or of Salafiyyah) so that a quote will have been provided from a scholar from every century.

    The Chronological usage of the term 'Salaf' blog post will be reposted on the IslamTees site (http://islamtees.wordpress.com/), inshaa'Allaah, with minor updates (the short Yaa an-nisbah explanation provided in this thread along with the quote mentioned above should someone find one, inshaa'Allaah).
