In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Shaikh Raslaan (may Allaah preserve him) quoted Imaam Laa-lakaa'ee (rahimahullaah) who said:

''The statements of the people of innovation do not become manifest except through a ruler with absolute authority, or through an obstinate sinful devil who misguides the people in secret with his innovation, or he manifests that through his sword and whip, or he captures (a person’s) heart with his wealth in order to mislead (the person) from the path of Allaah out of fanaticism for his innovation and in defence of his (affairs) of misguidance, in order to turn the Muslims away and put them to trial in their religion.''

Abridged:Shaikh Abdullaah Al-Bukhaari: ”Reasons For Persistence Upon Falsehood After Its Clarification”

Shaikh Abdullaah Al-Bukhaari (may Allaah preserve him) said: All praise is due to Allaah and may His peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family and all his companions. To proceed:

Indeed there is no doubt with regards to what Allaah has established and approved, that returning to the truth is better than persistence in falsehood; because persistence in falsehood is proof of being forsaken and that a person is deluded by it, as Imaam Ibnul Qayyim (rahimahullaah) stated in Al-Fawaa-id: ''To be forsaken is that Allaah leaves you to yourself.’’ The causes of a person’s persistence in falsehood after it has been clarified are a number of numerous (affairs):

    [1]The First Affair:

Love of authority and position of leadership:

Imaam Shaatibee (rahimahullaah) said in Al-Itisaam:''The last thing that lands upon the hearts of the righteous people is love of authority and position of leadership.''

Ibraaheem Bin Adham (rahimahullaah) said: ''The person who loves fame will not be
    sincere to Allaah.’’

Al-Haafidh Adh-Dhahabee (rahimahullaah) said: ''The signs of the sincere one who loves fame and is not aware of it, is that when he is scolded about it he neither becomes furious nor does he free himself from it; rather he acknowledges and says: May Allaah have mercy upon the one who guides me to my faults, and he does not become amazed with himself, so he neither perceives his faults nor does he know that he does not know. Indeed, this is a chronic illness.’’

Abu Nu’aym (rahimahullaah) said: ''By Allaah, the one destroyed is not destroyed except through love of leadership.''

    [2] The Second Affair:

Pride and refusing to accept the truth:

Imaam Sufyaan Bin Uyaynah (rahimahullaah) said: ''The sensible person is not the one who knows good and bad, rather the sensible person is the one who follows the truth when he sees it and keeps away from evil when he sees it.’’

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim (rahimahullaah) said in Al-Fawaa-id:

And from the signs of wellbeing and success is that whenever the slave is increased in his knowledge, he increases in humility and mercy; and whenever he is increased in action, he increases in his fear and caution; and whenever his age is increased, he decreases in eagerness; and whenever he is increased in wealth, he increases in his generosity and spending; and whenever his status and honour is increased, he increases in coming close to the people, in fulfilling their needs and being humble in (their presence).

And the signs of wretchedness are: Whenever he is increased in knowledge, he increases in pride and haughtiness; and whenever he is increased in actions, he increases in his boasting, mockery of the people and having a good opinion of himself; and whenever he is increased in his status and honour, he increases in pride and haughtiness. These affairs of (wellbeing and wretchedness) are a trial and a test from Allaah, by which He puts His slaves to trial. He brings about wellbeing and wretchedness to a people by way of these affairs.

Abu Ad-Dardaa (radiyallaahu-anhu) said:''The signs of ignorance are three: Self-amazement, excessive speech in that which does not concern (a person) and that you forbid something that you do.’’

It is reported from Ali Bin Abee Taalib (radiyallaahu-anhu) that he said:''Self-amazement is the plague of the Al Al-baab (i.e. the heart, mind, intellect etc).’’ And others besides him said: ‘’You do not see a person amazed with himself, except that he is a seeker of leadership.’’

A person must fully know that Allaah is absolutely acquainted with his (affairs), and that He knows the treachery of the eyes and what the hearts conceal. And that the hearts are between two fingers from the fingers of Allaah, and He turns them how He pleases. Ibn Abee Haatim reported in Az-Zuhd from Al-Hasan who said: ''Indeed, the hearts are more severe in losing control than feathers are on a stormy day.’’ [End of quote]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

    Introduction: Abridged

Ustaadh Abu Mu-aadh [Zaa-id Aala Taahir( may Allaah preserve him) said in his compilation on the affair of Ali Halabi, which was read and revived by Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadee Al-Madkhali (may Allaah preserve him and prolong his life upon goodness):

Indeed, all praise is due to Allaah; we seek His aid and assistance. We seek refuge with Allaah from the evil of our souls and from the evil of our deeds; whomsoever Allaah guides none can misguide and whomsoever He causes to go astray, then none can guide. I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except Allaah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and messenger….up to the saying of the author: Indeed, the best of speech is the speech of Allaah, and the best of guidance is that of Muhammad (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam), and the worst of all affairs are the newly invented affairs in the religion, and every newly invented affair in the religion is a bidah, and every bidah is misguidance, and every misguidance is in the hell fire.

The Obligation of Knowledge and Justice in refutation and criticism

Before commencing with the detailed Mukhaalafaat (i.e. affairs in opposition to the book and the Sunnah) Ali Halabi has newly invented, I would like to remind myself and the reader of some statements of Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullaah) in clarification of the importance of knowledge and justice when criticising and refuting.

He (rahimahullaah) said: ‘’Allaah loves speech with knowledge and justice, and to give (everything) the rights that belongs to it, and to place the people in their rightful positions.’’ [Majmoo Al-Fataawaa: 12/205]

He (rahimahullaah) said: ‘’As for Ahlus Sunnah, they give allegiance to all the believers and they speak with knowledge and justice. They are neither from the people of ignorance nor from the people of desires.’’ [Minhaajus Sunnah: 2/17]

He (rahimahullaah) said: ‘’Speech about the people has to be with knowledge and justice, and not by way of ignorance and oppression.’’ [Minhaajus Sunnah: 4/337]

He (rahimahullaah) said: ‘’It is known that when I speak about those other than the companions, such as the kings in their differing ruler-ships, the Mashaayikh in their diverse (stations) in knowledge and (adherence) to the religion, then it is obligatory that speech is (carried out) with knowledge and justice, and not with ignorance and oppression; because justice is obligatory upon everyone in all situations, and oppression is absolutely forbidden and is never permissible in (any) situation. Allaah (The Most High) said: ‘’ Help you one another in Al-Birr and At-Taqwa (virtue, righteousness and piety); but do not help one another in sin and transgression.’’ [Soorah: Al-Maa-idah: Ayah: 2]

This ayah was revealed due to their (i.e. believers) hatred for the disbelievers, and it is a hatred commanded by Allaah. So if the hatred which Allaah has commanded (does) prohibit the person commanded with it from oppressing the one he hates, then how about hatred towards a Muslim who (fell) into false interpretation, affairs of Shubuhaat or (follows) his desires?! He (i.e. this Muslim) is more worthy of being (treated) with justice and not oppressed. [Minhaajus Sunnah: 5/126-127]

He (rahimahullaah) said: ’’The just amongst men is the one who informs of an affair the way it is; he neither adds to it and becomes a liar nor does he subtract from it and becomes a concealer.” [20/84]

After quoting these statements and what is similar to them, Ustaadh Abu Mu-aadh said:

And by way of knowledge, the Muslim comes of know truth (as opposed) to falsehood, correctness (as opposed) to mistake, and he distinguishes the people of truth from the people of falsehood, and he judges (whilst) neither going beyond bounds nor falling short.

And another affair which must be clarified here is that the people of knowledge have a status (mentioned) in the Book, the Sunnah and in the creed of the pious predecessors. Indeed, Allaah made them witnesses to the greatest testimony, and that is the testimony to His Oneness and Justice. He said: ‘’Allah bears witness that La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), and the angels, and those having knowledge (also give this witness); (He is always) maintaining His creation in Justice. La ilah illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.’’ Soorah Aali Imraan: Ayah: 18]

And they (i.e. the people of knowledge) have not been placed in that (station as witnesses to the greatest testimony), except that they are from those He (Allaah) is pleased with, then how can a servant not be pleased with them in (their) clarification of His (Allaah’s) religion. And also is the fact that they (i.e. the people of knowledge) are the intermediaries [between Allaah, His Messenger and the people (i.e. the people of knowledge convey the book and the Sunnah to the people); rather Allaah (appointed) them as the ones to be referred to, with regards to the clarification of the truthfulness of the Messengers.

He (The Most High) said: ‘’And We sent not (as Our Messengers) before you (O Muhammad) any but men, whom We inspired, (to preach and invite mankind to believe in the Oneness of Allah). So ask of those who know the Scripture [learned men of the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)], if you know not.’’ [Soorah An-Nahl: Ayah:43] up until Ustaadh Abu Mu-aadh said:

But this station (of the scholars) has to be within the boundaries of the legislation and it is not to enter into the prohibited boundary. The legislated boundary is to hold onto them in following the evidences, proofs etc; and the prohibited boundary is that we have partisanship to their statements without proof and evidence, or that we form a partisanship around them, loving and hating for the sake of their personalities. [Then the author quoted few other statements of Shaikhul Islaam about the prohibition of establishing allegiance and enmity based on other than the statements of Allaah and His Messenger, and the Ijmaa. And that it is ahlul bidah who appoint for the Ummah personalities and bring about statements through which the Ummah splits etc. [see page: 8-9 in the PDF]

Then Ustaadh Abu Mu-aadh quotes Shaikhul Islaam on page 9, who said:

If a teacher or an ustaadh commands with the boycotting of a person, or that he is to be killed, or that he is to renounced, distanced and the likes; the affair is looked into: If he (i.e. this person) committed a sin (in violation of the sharia and for which there is a prescribed sharia punishment) then he is punished in accordance to the degree of his sin without an increase (in that). And if it is a sin (for which there is not a prescribed punishment in the sharia), then it is not permissible to punish him with anything for the sake of the teacher’s desire or other than it. And it not for the teachers to make the people into partisans and do that which (brings about) enmity and hatred between them!! Rather, they should be brothers helping one another upon Bir and Taqwaa, as Allaah (The Most High) stated: ‘’Help you one another in Al-Birr and At-Taqwa (virtue, righteousness and piety); but do not help one another in sin and transgression.’’ [Soorah: Al-Maa-idah: Ayah: 2] And it not for anyone amongst them (i.e. the teachers) to take an agreement from anyone that he (i.e. that person) is to agree with him in everything he wants, and that he (i.e. the person) is to ally with the one who is allied to him (i.e. the teacher), and that he is to have hatred for the one who has hatred for him (i.e. the teacher)!! The one who does this is from those (similar) to Genghis Khan and his likes; those who befriend the one who agrees with them and (declare) the one who disagrees with them an enemy and evil doer; rather incumbent upon the teachers and their followers is the covenant of Allaah and His Messenger, that they obey Allaah and His Messenger, and that they carry out what Allaah and His Messenger commanded, and (declare) unlawful what Allaah and His Messenger (declared) unlawful, and that they appeal for the rights of the teachers just as Allaah and His Messenger commanded.[Mahmoo Al-Fataawaa: 15/25-28]

This is the path of justice. Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullaah) said: ‘’The one who follows the path of justice will exalt the one worthy of being exalted and he will love and ally with him; he will give the truth its due right, exalt the truth and show mercy to the creation.’’ [Minhaajus Sunnah: 4/544]

We ask Allaah to grant us beneficial knowledge, and that He aids us towards speech that is based on justice, and that we are not from the people of ignorance or oppression. Allaah is the granter of success.

Some of the false principles and claims of the people of Tamyee

    They say:

[1] There is neither disapproval of one another nor compelling one another in those affairs in which there is difference of opinion amongst the scholars.

[2]There is no compelling one to take the Jarh mufassar (a detailed explained criticism), unless it is accompanied by ijmaa and satisfaction.

[3]We rectify but we do not disparage.

[4]We do not make our differing about someone else a reason for differing amongst ourselves.

[5]They follow the allowances and mistakes of the scholars in order to reject evidences and oppose the truth.

[6]They cast doubts in the narrations of the trustworthy people and calling to (false and unnecessary) verification.

[7] They propagate the innovation of Muwaazanah whilst mentioning ahlul bidah at the time of criticism and disparagement.

[8]They categorize the Jarh and Tadeel of the scholars into information that must be accepted and rulings which are not obligatory to accept.

[9]They differentiate between Aqeedah and Manhaj when passing judgements against people.

[10]They call to illegal partisanship and politics.

[11] They praise ahlul bidah and defend them. They co-operate with them, sit with them and call the people to benefit from them and not to boycott them.

[12]They speak ill of the scholars of Ahlus Sunnah. They have hatred towards them and make the people flee from them.

[13] They falsely claim that the salaf differed in the usool of the religion and the affairs of Aqeedah.

[14]They describe some of the Sahaabah with the term ghuthaa-iyyah (Scum) and they bring false arguments to justify this position.

[15]They rush to include some of the misguided sects, parties and organizations into the arena of Ahlus Sunnah wal-Jamaa-ah, with what they term as ‘’the spacious/wide/expanded Manhaj.’’ And they apply the term Ahlus Sunnah to a number of sects.

[16] They praise and aid the treatise that calls to the unity of religions and equality
between the religions. They call to democracy with the excuse that it has become a necessity and a reality.

Manhaj of Ahlus Sunnah Talks Ramadaan 2012-Shaikh Anjari, Abu Khadeejah & Abdul Ilaah

    Assalaamu alaykum warahmatullaahi;

Brothers and sisters, the link below contains a series of excellent lectures delivered by Shaikh Muhammad Al-Anjari, Ustaadh Abu Khadeejah and Ustaadh Abdul Ilaah (may Allaah preserve them) at the Salafi Masjid (Birmingham) in Ramadaan 2012. Indeed these lectures cannot be missed, because they contain clear admonitions for the one who seeks clarity. Let us fear Allaah and hold onto our Salafiyyah regardless who deviates, and let us not allow any hidden enemies to cause splits within the ranks of the Salafis in their Masaajid and Centres.

The people who seek to cast doubts within the Salafiyyoon must be admonished and prevented from their false activities. So fear Allaah O maintainers of the Salafi Masaajid and Centres and do not allow weakness or friendship to prevent you from speaking the truth and openly giving support to the callers to the truth. We are in need of Salafiyyah and Salafiyyah is not in need of us. We hope that these lectures will be a source of enlightenment for those seeking clarity, especially regarding the affair of the followers and defenders of the innovators Maribi, Halabi, Maghraawi and others.
