    Fasting al-Muharram & 'Aashooraa' (10th of al-Muharram)

as-salaamu 'alaikum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh,

Here's just a simple reminder about the Hadeeth:
“The best fasting after the month of Ramadan, is the month of Allah, al-Muharram. And the best prayer after the obligatory prayer is prayer at night.”
    – Saheeh Muslim.
    And also the hadeeth:
“And he (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) was asked about Fasting the day of 'Aashooraa' and he said: 'It expiates sins committed over the last year'.”
    – Saheeh Muslim.
