Books that the Student of Knowledge Begins With by Shaykh Muqbil Rahimahullaah

    Question:
What are the books that a student of knowledge begins with, then if he wishes progresses onto?

    Answer:
The books that a student at the beginning stages of seeking knowledge starts with - if he is well versed in reading and writing (Arabic) - then he should study
‘Fathul-Majeed Sharh Kitaabut-Tawheed’ since it is a great book and also study
‘Aqeedahtul Waasitiyyah’ by Shaykh ul-Islaam ibn Taymiyyah, and
‘al-Qawlul Mufeed’ by our brother Muhammad bin ‘Abdul Wahaab al-Wasaabi and likewise
    ‘Bulugh al-Maraam’ and
‘Riyaadhus Saliheen’. Furthermore, once you have studied these books and you wish and desire (to move to) other books, and
indeed if you are able you should begin with the memorisation of the Qur’aan then that is better and more virtuous. Subsequently,
the issue of the Arabic language for our non-Arab brothers is very important, since if a non-Arab was not well versed in the Arabic language, it is possible that a person in a Islamic garb could come to you and explain the Qur’aan upon other than its correct explanation, like that which occurred with the Mu’tazilah.

Since Imaam Muqbil [rahimahullaah] emphasized the studying of the arabic language; here is a link to shaikh raslaan's website. The lessons are very good Maa-shaa-Allaah.
