Inside Connections: The “Waasitah” System in the Muslim Lands

Maybe some of the negative outcomes of our attempts at using waasitahs have led us to condemn the system itself, saying things like: The waasitah system is haraam, or corrupt, or oppressive, etc. STOP! It is a social system founded by Allaah's Book, and it was a routine practice of our Messenger (sallallaahu alayhe wa sallam) in dealing with people's requests. Let us educate ourselves about it:
