Forty Hadeeth Nawawi : Shaikh Ubaid al Jabiree Hafidhah Ullah:
    Translated lesson.
    4th Ramadhaan 1432/ 3rd August 2011- 11pm (Saudi Time)
    Translator: Abu Mundtheer

The Shaikh (Hafidhah ullah) explained the fourth and sixth hadeeths last night.

Point of benefit from the lesson.

    Hadeeth Number 4:

On the authority of Abu `Abd ar-Rahmaan `Abdullaah ibn Mas`ud (radiAllaahu anhu), who said: The Messenger of Allaah (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) and he is the Truthful, the Believed, narrated to us:
Verily the creation of each one of you is brought together in his mother's womb for forty days in the form of a seed, and then he is a clot of blood for a like period, then a morsel of flesh for a like period, then there is sent to him the angel who blows his soul into him and who is commanded with four matters: to write down his means of livelihood (rizq /sustenance), his life span, his actions, and whether he will be happy or unhappy.

By the One, other than Whom there is no deity, verily one of you performs the actions of the people of Paradise until there is but an arms length between him and it, and that which has been written overtakes him, and so he acts with the actions of the people of the Hellfire and thus enters it; and verily one of you performs the actions of the people of the Hellfire, until there is but an arms length between him and it, and that which has been written overtakes him and so he acts with the actions of the people of Paradise and thus he enters it. [Narrated by al-Bukhaari and Muslim.]

The shaikh (hafidhah ullah) explained that this hadeeth from the Forty Hadeeth that is related by Ibn Mas’ud is known as الصادق المصدوق (As- sadeeq al-masdooq).

This is because the Prophet (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) he is:

(As- sadeeq) – The Truthful one – He is the one who truthfully relays what was revealed to him he neither increased or cut out what was sent down to him and what he said.
المصدوق -(al-masdooq)- which the shaikh preferred to define as the one declared truthful and the one who Allaah Aids.

This Aid from Allah was in two ways:
    a) Aided by Revelation:
    b) Aided by those matters which are unexplainable and miracles which cause others to believe in him.

Next lesson insha Allaah Saturday 11 pm (Saudi Time) 6th August 2011-
