Beautiful statement from Shaykh ibnul-'Uthaymeen (rahimahullaah)

    Bismillaahir-Rahmaanir-Raheem
    al-Hamdu lil-llaah
    was-Salaatu was-Salaamu 'alaa Rasoolillaah
    amma ba'ad

The Noble Shaykh Muhammad bin Saalih al-'Uthaymeen (may Allaah have mercy upon him) said:

"The Religion of Islaam is a Creed and a Legislation and it is perfect in both.
    Islaam commands with:

1- The absolute single worship of Allaah the Most High (Alone) and forbids polytheism
(the worship of anything other than Allβh).

    2- Truthfulness and forbids lying.

    3- Justice and forbids oppression.

    4- Trustworthiness and forbids treachery.

    5- Faithfullness and forbids betrayal.

6- Being good to ones parents and forbids being disrespectful (to them).

7- Keeping the ties of kinship with ones relatives and forbids cutting them off.

8- Having good manners/relations with ones neighbourhood and forbids (any kind of) ill-treatment (towards ones neighbours).

Generally speaking, Islaam commands with every kind of noble mannerism and forbids against all evil/despicable behaviour.

(Islaam also) commands with every righteous action and prohibits all forms of wrong/evil.

Allaah the Most High said (the meaning of):

((Indeed Allaah enjoins al-'Adl (justice and worshipping none but Allaah) and al-Ihsaan
(to be patient in performing one's duties to Allaah, for His Sake Alone) and in giving help to kith and kin
    and forbids al-Fahshaa'
(all evil deeds) and al-Munkar (polytheism, disbelief) and al-Baghy (oppression).
(Allaah) admonishes you so that you may take heed))

    [Sooratun-Nahl: Aayah 90]"
