    Now Recruiting English Language Instructors For Men’s and Women’s Campuses


    The English Language Institute of King Abdul Aziz University in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, invites applications for the post of English Language Instructor. Positions are available on both the Men’s and Women’s campuses.

    The English Language Institute, responsible for the English language training of about 10,000 incoming Foundation Year students annually, is seeking ELT instructors who are:

    o Experienced professionals seeking commensurate compensation;
    o Energetic and keen to join a team dedicated to building a state-of-the-art English language instruction center;
    o Motivated and willing to participate in a wide range of professional development opportunities;

    Requirements

    o Master’s degree in TESL or related field, such as Applied Linguistics, from an accredited university
    Or
    Bachelor’s degree in English plus a minimum experience of three years in English language teaching (post degree).

    o An internationally accepted English language teaching certificate such as CELTA, DELTA, TEFL, TESL, or ESL.

    o High level of English language proficiency (IELTS band score of 8 or equivalent).
    o Overseas English language teaching experience and intercultural skills an advantage.
    o Experience in assessment, curriculum, or instructor development preferred.

    Responsibilities

    o Planning, preparation, and delivery of English language training to first year Foundation Year students across all levels of proficiency;
    o 40 hour-week, including 18 contact hours; lesson preparation; office hours; and associated duties, such as committee work, participation in test and curriculum development, and proctoring; subject to Institute requirements.
