A [Statement of] Clarification from the Administration of Masjid al-Rahmah

In the name of Allaah, the Most Merciful, Ever-Merciful [to His Believing Slaves]

All praise is due to Allaah and may salaat and salaam be upon the Messenger of Allaah, his family and all the companions, to proceed:

After we heard advices from the two esteemed Shaykhs, the esteemed Shaykh, the Doctor and 'Allaamah, Muhammad bin Haadee al-Madkhalee and the Shaykh and Doctor, Abdullaah Abd al-Raheem al-Bukharee, may Allaah preserve them both, then the administration of Masjid al-Rahmah wishes to rectify all the mistakes which occurred from them and all praise is due to Allaah, for it is, as has been said, "Returning to the truth is a virtue and wallowing in falsehood is a vice" and Allaah [is one] who forgives all.

Firstly: That we, the administration of Masjid al-Rahmah erred in removing the name of the esteemed Shaykh, the Doctor, the Allaamah, the Muhaddith, the Mujaahid, Rabee' bin Haadee al-Madkhali from the knowledge-based seminar in July 2011 (CE), putting instead the name of a man called Tahir Wyatt in place of the esteemed Shaykh, Rabee'al-Madkhalee. We ask Allaah to forgive us and we seek excuse from Shaykh Rabee for indeed he is from the well-known mashaayikh and respected by the lofty scholars such as Shaykh Abd al-Azeez bin Baaz, Shaykh al-Albaanee, Shaykh Muhammad bin Saalih al-Uthaymeen, Shaykh Ahmad bin Yahyaa al-Najmee, Shaykh Muqbil bin Haadee al-Waadi'ee, Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan, Shaykh Saalih al-Luhaydaan and other than them, may Allaah have mercy on those who have passed from them and may He preserve those who are alive from amongst them.

Secondly: We will not continue cooperation or have any dealings with the one named "Tahir Wyatt" because he refused to clarify his position with respect to Abu al-Hasan al-Ma'ribee and Alee Hasan al-Halabee and those who are like them.

Thirdly: We do not have any connection with the one called "Shadeed Muhammad", and we are with the Scholars who clarified his errors. We do not have any connection with the one named "Zaahid Rasheed" who is the owner [administrator] of the AlBaseerah website [based in the US].

Fourthly: That Muhammad Muneer, one of the speakers in that seminar dated July 2011 (CE) erred and opposed the truth when he said, "When was it from the way of the Ulamaa and the way of the Salaf to sit in front of the layman and talk about Jarh Wa Ta'deel? Bring me one example..." Rather, that which is correct and truth is that the people of deviant positions (statements) are to be made clear to the common-folk and the ignorant and they are to be warned against so that no one falls into them (the deviations), just as Imaam Ahmad (rahimahullaah) said, "If I remain silent and you remain silent, then who will explain to the people truth from falsehood?"

Fifthly: We make it clear that the statement that was spread which is [in meaning] "That some of the scholars well-known for defending the Sunnah and calling to it have some harshness with them" - that revilement of those scholars was intended by this speech. [In reality], if any positions were taken by them [those scholars] that required harshness, then there is no blame upon them, since harshness [utilized] in its correct place is praiseworthy and it is from wisdom in calling to Allaah.

Sixthly: We accept and respect the advice of the Scholars regarding changing the members of the shooraa (consultative body) present with us. And we will cooperate with some of the students of knowledge who are commended by the Mashaayikh.

Seventhly: We wish to adhere to traversing upon the Qur'an and the Sunnah upon the understanding of the noble Companions, may Allaah's pleasure be upon them all, whilst having safety in creed and clarity in manhaj, and that we do not soften our religion with corrupt, invented principles such as those principles of Abu al-Hasan al-Ma'ribee al-Misree and the principles of Alee Hasan al-Halabee, such as the principle, "It is not binding upon me [to accept the evidence-based disparagments of the scholars]" and the principle, "There must be consensus of the people of knowledge regarding the tabdee' of such and such person (before I accept it)" and so on.

Eighth: We free ourselves from the misguided erroneous statement, "We do not make our differing regarding others besides us as a cause of differing in that which is between us" which was said by Ali Hasan al-Halabi and the meaning of which [was expressed] by Abu Laylaa [khateeb], that "Our differing regarding an individual does not mean that we differn in what is between us." We also free ourselves from the statement that "the one who said Masjid Rahmah's reputation has been defamed (on account of the observations, criticisms that were directed to them) that his speech is like the speech by which Aa'ishah (radiallaahu anhaa) was slandered with (meaning, in the incident of al-Ifk). [Likewise, we free ourselves from the saying] (whose meaning is) that, "the Sahaabah were like a gang in their collection of zakaat."

Ninth: We merge (in cooperation) with our Salafi brothers in America and our Salafi brothers from Maktabah Salafiyyah in Britan and others from the students of knowledge, just as the Mashaayikh advised us, may Allaah preserve them and watch over them. And we actualize what was said by the Messenger (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam), "The Believers are like a single body. If there is a complaint (of pain) from one its limbs, the entire body attends to it with wakefulness and fever" (Agreed upon). And from Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (radiallaahu anhu) who said: The Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) said, "The believer to the believer is like a building, parts of it giving strength of support to the other", and he interlocked between the fingers of each hand. (Agreed upon).

May the salaat and salaam be upon [His Messenger], his family and his companions, and Allaah is behind the intent.

This recantation was read to the esteemed Shaykh, the Allaamah, Shaykh Rabee bin Haadee al-Madkhalee, may Allaah preserve him, with his agreement on the night of Jumu'ah corresponding to 7/5/1433H (30/3/2012CE)[/SIZE]
